Today I'll be showing the process of installing the NVIDIA Graphics card drivers. This driver will install both video drivers and audio drivers in a single set-up. Starting off, I have this icon on my desktop with random numbers on it, those number are in fact, the driver version I will be installing.
After clicking on the desktop icon, I was greeted with this box, to proceed I will press "Yes".
The next box that comes up will ask you where you want to install the drivers to, in our case we will just leave it as it is by default, as the recommended destination is perfectly fine.
The next box to come up is just letting me know its saving the driver files to the destination selected in the previous box.
This box will then come up, this is simply the boot of screen for the full driver installer.
The driver installed will first check your system compatibility to make sure that the drivers can be installed on my the PC, just in case you downloaded the wrong driver etc.
The next screen that comes up is simply the license agreement, if you want to read the text in the box then go ahead, but normally you would just want to click "Agree and Continue".
The next screen will give you two options, express and custom, express will update all the drivers, and custom will allow you to choose what drivers you wish to install, Its recommended you choose Express.
After clicking next, you will be brought to the install screen, which includes a bunch of lovely advertisements you will probably ignore!
As you can see it is preparing to install the drivers for me.
This is an example of the driver installer installing the HD Audio Driver, it will also install the Video driver before this as well.
Here is the installer installing the 3D Vision Controller Drivers, which allows you to use multiple screens for a much more immerse experience, as well as use stereoscopic 3D if you have a 3D TV.
and one that's all done, the installer will come to this screen, informing you the installation is complete! Congratulations!
Installing new drivers is almost always an important thing, as it can improve performance of your devices, as well as iron out bugs.
